Posting a receipt for a vehicle is straightforward and is done within the Debtors tab on the stock record. Follow the steps below:
Steps to Post a Receipt
Open the Stock Record for the relevant vehicle.
Navigate to the Debtors tab.
Click on Post Receipt to open the receipt posting window.
Fill in the required details:
- Receipt Date: Enter the date of the transaction.
- Amount: Input the amount being received.
- Payment Type: Choose the payment method (e.g., cash, card, bank transfer).
- Reference: Add any necessary reference details, such as an invoice or cheque number.
- Receipt Nominal Code: Select the appropriate nominal code, such as a sales receipt or deposit.
Review the details for accuracy and press Post.
Refunding a Customer
To refund a customer, follow the same process as above, but:
- Enter the refund amount as a negative value (e.g.,
-500.00
). - Ensure all other details are accurate.
Press Post to complete the refund transaction.

- Always double-check the receipt or refund details to ensure they are accurate.
- If you encounter issues, such as missing nominal codes or payment types, consult your accounts team or system administrator.
