How to Configure High DPI Settings for Navigator to Fix Scaling Issues

If the Navigator front page appears incorrectly scaled on high-resolution displays, adjusting the High DPI settings can resolve the issue. Windows automatically applies scaling based on display settings, but overriding these settings ensures proper rendering within Navigator.

Steps to Configure High DPI Settings

1. Open the Properties Window for Navigator.exe

  1. Locate the Navigator icon.

  2. Right-click the file and select Properties.

  3. Click on the Compatibility tab.

2. Modify High DPI Settings

  1. Click on the Change high DPI settings button.

  2. In the new window, locate the Program DPI section.

  3. Tick the checkbox for Use this setting to fix scaling problems for this program instead of the one in Settings.

  4. Ensure the dropdown under Use the DPI that’s set for my main display when is set to I open this program.

3. Override High DPI Scaling Behaviour

  1. Under High DPI scaling override, tick the checkbox for Override high DPI scaling behaviour.

  2. From the Scaling performed by: dropdown, select Application.

4. Apply and Save Changes

  1. Click OK in the High DPI settings window.

  2. Click Apply and then OK in the Properties window.

  3. Sign out of Windows to apply the new settings.

These adjustments will ensure that Navigator scales correctly, preventing distortion on high-resolution monitors set with a higher scale that 100%
